The protection of privacy is very important to Infotecs Internet Security Software GmbH, Potsdamer Str. 182, 10783 Berlin (hereinafter: "Infotecs") when processing your data. The data collected is processed in accordance with the provisions of the Federal Data Protection Act (BDSG), the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and other legal regulations as they apply to electronic business transactions in Germany.

The processing of personal data by us generally serves the purpose of fulfilling the contract with you within the context of Art. 6 para. 1 lit. b GDPR or to safeguard our legitimate interests, above all our accountability to the tax authorities and to optimize our websites and advertising within the context of Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR. If there is not one of the aforementioned legal provisions, we will obtain your consent in accordance with Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a GDPR prior to data processing. You will find detailed information on data processing in the following explanations. Infotecs therefore asks you to take note of these and, if necessary, to print or save them.

2. Use of “Cookies":

When you visit our website, information in the form of "cookies" is temporarily or permanently stored on your computer/device, which automatically recognizes you the next time you visit our website. “Cookies” are small text files which allow, e.g., the adaptation of an application to the visitor’s interests. If you do not want “cookies” to be stored by Infotecs, you are asked to set the end device to delete these “cookies”, to block all or certain “cookies” or to issue a warning before any “cookies” are stored.

3. Automatically Recorded Non-Personal Data:

When you visit our website, our web server or the web hoster used by us the following data will be collected as standard, which your Internet browser transmits to us or our web hoster (so-called server log files) and will be stored in a log file:

  • IP addresses
  • Date and time of the server request
  • Description of the type and version of the web browser used
  • Operating system used
  • Requesting domain (referrer URL)

The server log files contain IP addresses or other data that enable an assignment to a user. This could be the case, for example, if the link to the website from which the user accesses the website or the link to the website to which the user switches contains personal data. The data is stored in the log files of our web host.

This data is not stored together with other personal data of the user. The data will be deleted as soon as they are no longer necessary to achieve the purpose for which they were collected. If the data is stored in log files, this is the case with our web host after 7 days at the latest. Infotecs or the web host used by us processes this information on the basis of our legitimate interest pursuant to Art. 6 Para. 1 S. 1 lit. f) GDPR in connection with. Art. 28 GDPR (conclusion of a contract for order processing) in order to determine and improve the attractiveness, the services and the contents of the Internet presence or to guarantee a secure provision of our online offer.

4. Processing of personal data

4.1. Personal data is only collected by Infotecs if you actively communicate it to us, e.g. by creating a customer account, by ordering our newsletter or via our contact form. You have the right to object at any time to the use of this data for the respective purpose for the future. See also paragraph 10.

4.2. The personal data collected from you will only be used for the purpose for which you gave it to us or for the use and forwarding of which you gave us your consent. After completion of the contractual relationship the user data shall only be stored as long as is required on the basis of fiscal and commercial law retention periods. On expiry of these periods the data will, however, be deleted, unless you have given your express consent to its further or different use. You can also assert rights during the retention periods, such as blocking your data. See paragraph 10.

4.3. Insofar as we obtain your consent for the processing of personal data, Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a EU Data Protection Ordinance (GDPR) serves as the legal basis for the processing of personal data.

In the processing of personal data required to fulfil a contract with you, Art. 6 para. 1 lit. b GDPR serves as the legal basis. This also applies to processing operations that are necessary to carry out pre-contractual measures.

Insofar as the processing of personal data is required to fulfil a legal obligation to which our company is subject, Art. 6 para. 1 lit. c GDPR serves as the legal basis.

In the event that the vital interests of the data subject or another natural person require the processing of personal data, Article 6(1)(d) GDPR serves as the legal basis.

If the processing is necessary to safeguard a legitimate interest of our company or a third party and your interests, fundamental rights and freedoms do not prevail, Art. 6 para. 1 letter f GDPR serves as the legal basis for the processing.

4.4. There will be no transfer of your personal data to third parties for purposes other than those listed below. We will only pass on your personal data to third parties if:

  • you have given your express consent pursuant to Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a) GDPR,
  • the disclosure pursuant to Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f) GDPR is necessary to assert, exercise or defend legal claims and there is no reason to assume that you have an overriding interest worthy of protection in not disclosing your data,
  • in the event that a legal obligation exists for the transfer pursuant to Art. 6 para. 1 lit. c) GDPR, and
  • this is legally permissible and required by Art. 6 Para. 1 lit. b) GDPR for the processing of contractual relationships with you.

The collection or transfer of personal data to state institutions and authorities only takes place within the framework of mandatory national legal provisions.

Your data will be forwarded to service providers or group companies for the processing of a contractual relationship (e.g. provision of a service or sale of goods) — depending on the type of specific contractual relationship — which we regularly use to provide the service or for contract processing, in particular our parent company InfoTeCS OAO, 127287 Моskau, Stary Petrovsko-Razumovsky Projezd, 1/23, in Russia.

To the extent required by law, we will conclude an agreement with these service providers for order processing (Art. 28 GDPR) in order to ensure data processing only within our instructions under appropriate data security measures. Insofar as we pass on data to third countries on the basis of a contractual relationship with you, this is done under the additional requirements of Art. 44 et seq. GDPR.

In order that data may be forwarded to InfoTeCS OAO, we have entered the so-called EU standard contract clauses in addition to an agreement on order processing (data processing agreement) in order to ensure an adequate level of data protection when processing data in a so-called third country.

4.5. The employees and subcontractors of Infotecs are contractually bound to secrecy and the observance of data secrecy.

5. Use of web tracking:

5.1. Google Analytics

This website uses the Google Analytics service of Google LLC, 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, United States, a subsidiary of Alphabet Inc, hereinafter referred to as "Google", to optimize your Internet presence and improve your advertising measures.

This procedure serves to evaluate the use of the Internet presence by the users, to compile reports on the website activities for Infotecs and to provide further services connected with the use of the Internet presence as well as to improve our Internet presence and our customer approach and is therefore in our legitimate interest according to Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f) of the GDPR.

Infotecs uses Google Analytics to optimize its website. This procedure serves to evaluate the use of the website by the users, to compile reports about the website activities for Infotecs and to provide further services connected with the use of the website.

Google is member of EU-US Privacy Shield which requires minimum standards for the protection of personal data of Europeans whose data was stored or processed in the USA.

With the help of the _anonymizelp () extension, a shortened IP address is processed further.

By using our website, the user agrees to the processing of the data collected about him/her by Google for the use of Google Analytics.

Google may pass on the stored information to third parties if required by law or if third parties process this data on behalf of Google.

This web analysis service from Google Inc. also stores cookies on their computer in accordance with section 1. The information generated in this way is transmitted to and stored on a Google server in the USA. If the storage of cookies is not desired, please follow the instructions in paragraph 2.

Alternatively, the deactivation add-on from Google Analytics can be used by the user under the URL Please note that this is not available for every internet browser. In addition, you can also install an opt-out cookie via this link on your device, in particular for browsers of mobile devices, so that the collection of data by Google Analytics on our website will be prevented in the future. Please note that when deleting cookies on your mobile device, you must also reinstall the opt-out cookie.

At the time of sending your message via one of our contact forms, the following data will also be stored:

In this context, the respective data will not be passed on to third parties unless it is necessary to pursue our claims or there is a legal obligation in accordance with Art. 6 Para. 1 lit. c GDPR or you have consented to this. Your data will only be used for the processing of your request or the corresponding conversation. Depending on the type and subject of your enquiry, it will be forwarded to our parent company for processing after consultation with you. The processing of personal data from the input mask of the contact form or an email sent to us serves us solely to process the establishment of contact. In the event of contact, this also constitutes the necessary legitimate interest in the processing of the data (in connection with the processing of your personal data). Within the scope of the support form, your details for processing the contact enquiry and its handling will be processed in accordance with Art. 6 Para. 1 lit. b) GDPR. In the context of our form for webinar registration we use your data according to Art. 6 Abs. 1 lit. b. GDPR to provide you with our contractual or pre-contractual services for conducting a webinar. User information may also be stored in our Customer Relationship Management system (CRM software) or comparable enquiry organisation. You consent to this electronic processing of your data, to the processing of your respective enquiry being forwarded to our parent company in Russia and to our contacting you in order to process your enquiry. You may revoke this consent at any time with effect for the future (cf. Section 10). The EU standard contractual clauses have been concluded with our parent company to ensure an adequate level of data protection in the event of data being forwarded and processed for the processing of support requests.

Other personal data processed during the sending process serve to prevent misuse of the contact form and to ensure the security of our information technology systems.

7. Newsletter Dispatch

We at Infotecs would like to inform you from time to time about our services, webinars and news via a newsletter. For this purpose Infotecs requires your email address and your name.

You can subscribe to one or more newsletter by registering them via the corresponding function or during the registration process by ticking the box (so-called opt-in) and entering your email address. For verification purposes, in addition to your email address, the IP address and the registration date (timestamp) are stored for sending the newsletter.

We will also send you an email asking you to confirm your newsletter subscription. Only with activation of the hyperlink sent along in the email will your email address be activated for newsletter dispatch.

You may object to the dispatch of the newsletter at any time (see para. 10). An opt-out link is provided at the end of each newsletter. You can also contact us directly at the contact details given in the imprint.

8. Applicant Area

From time to time we post online job descriptions of our company under the heading "Jobs". Applicants can send applications to us online via our email address. We process applicant data taking into account the legal requirements for the purpose of conducting the application procedure or, as far as this is generally necessary in legal proceedings, for (pre)contractual purposes (Art. 6 para. 1 lit. b) GDPR) and on the basis of our legitimate interests within the meaning of Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f) GDPR. In Germany, § 26 BDSG also applies.

Please note that in particular CVs, certificates and other data you submit to us, particularly sensitive information about mental and physical health, racial or ethnic origin, political opinions, religious or philosophical beliefs, membership of a trade union or political party or about sex life, may be included. If you voluntarily provide us with such special personal data within the context of Art. 9 para. 1 GDPR, processing will take place under the additional conditions of Art. 9 para. 2 GDPR. We do not require any information from you that cannot be used in accordance with the General Equal Treatment Act under German law or any other national or international Equal Treatment Act. Please do not disclose any confidential information or trade secrets of your former or current employer to us.

Please note that the email is always sent unencrypted and can only be encrypted anyway if the sender of the email also uses encryption. We can therefore offer no guarantee for the security of the transmission path. Alternatively, you can use our contact form or send us your application documents by post.

By sending us your application documents, you expressly agree that we process the data you have provided as described above for the purpose of processing your application - in particular, store it electronically. You may revoke your respective consent at any time (see Paragraph 10).

In the event of a successful application, we store the applicant's data provided for the purpose of employment. In all other respects, the applicant data available to us will be deleted after 6 months. In this case, the data is stored in order to be able to meet any obligations to provide evidence in accordance with the Equal Treatment Act (AGG).

9. Links to other websites and integration of content

Our website may contain links to other websites. Infotecs is not responsible for their privacy statements or content.

9.1. Online presence of Infotecs on social networks and platforms

Infotecs maintains online presences within social networks and platforms (Twitter, LinkedIn, YouTube, Facebook, Xing, Google+) and links to them from our website by clicking on the respective buttons (recognisable by the respective social network or platform logos). The purpose of these online presences is to communicate with active customers, interested parties and users and to inform them there about our services. When accessing the respective networks and platforms, the terms and conditions and the data processing guidelines of their respective operators apply. Unless otherwise stated in our privacy policy, we process the data of users only if they communicate with us within social networks and platforms, e.g. write articles on our websites or send us messages.

9.2. Integration of YouTube videos

We use on our website from time to time on the basis of our legitimate interests (art. 6 par. 1 lit. f) GDPR) content or service offers of YouTube LLC, 901 Cherry Ave. San Bruno, California, CA 94066, United States (hereinafter referred to as "YouTube") to incorporate video content on our website using a plugin. YouTube is a subsidiary of Google LLC, 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, United States, a subsidiary of Alphabet Inc. If you want to play the embedded videos using this plugin (by clicking the play button), your IP address is sent to YouTube, as YouTube cannot send the video content to your browser without the IP address. The IP address is therefore required for the display. Furthermore, the subpage of our website you have visited is transmitted to the YouTube server. If you are logged into your YouTube account as a YouTube member, you will also allow YouTube to associate your usage behavior directly with your personal profile when playing our videos. To prevent this assignment, log out of your YouTube profile before playing our video content. For more information about YouTube's data processing, please refer to YouTube's privacy policy.

9.3. Integration of Google Maps content

On the basis of our legitimate interest (Art. 6 par. 1 lit. f) GDPR), we use Google Maps to display maps and to create route maps. Each time you visit Google Maps, Google sets a cookie to process user preferences and data when you view the page that includes the Google Maps component. As a rule, this cookie is not deleted when you close your browser, but expires after a certain period of time, unless you delete it manually beforehand.

If you do not agree to this processing of your data, it is possible to deactivate the Google Maps service and thus prevent the transfer of data to Google. To do this, you must deactivate the JavaScript function in your browser. However, we would like to point out that in this case you will not be able to use Google Maps or only to a limited extent.

10. Information on user rights

Upon request, Infotecs will inform you in writing as soon as possible whether and which of your personal data is stored by us. If, despite our efforts to ensure that the data is correct and up to date, incorrect data is stored, it will be corrected by us upon request.

In addition to this right to correction, you also have the right to block and delete the personal data we have collected if necessary. It may be that we cannot immediately comply with every request for cancellation for legal reasons, especially due to tax or commercial law regulations, or for reasons of smooth contract execution. In this case we will contact you and discuss with you to what extent we can block the data for further processing and from which point in time a final deletion is possible.

In addition, you have the right to request that we transmit the data to you as a structured, standard and machine-readable format or, at your express request forward it to a third party.

You may object to the use of your data for future purposes, i.e. for purposes other than the execution of the contract or processing in our legitimate interest. In particular, you may object to the use of your data for advertising purposes. You also have the right to request a restriction of data use for certain purposes.

11. Data security

We use the most common SSL (Secure Socket Layer) method in connection with the highest level of encryption supported by your browser. This is usually 256-bit encryption. If your browser does not support 256-bit encryption, use 128-bit v3 technology instead.

Whether a single page of our website is transmitted in encrypted form is indicated by the closed display of the key or lock symbol in the lower status bar of your browser.

We also use suitable technical and organisational security measures to protect your data against accidental or intentional manipulation, partial or complete loss, destruction or unauthorised access by third parties. Our security measures are continuously being improved in line with technological developments.
